Abstract:
A blind bolt and a blind nut, where the blind bolt has no support shaft penetrating through it and rotatably supports an engagement piece and the nut by a structure that is extremely easy to process. The bolt and nut are unlikely to break so that a greater tightening force can be achieved, have reduced number of parts, and can be produced at lower cost. The blind bolt has a bolt body (2) with a long hole (22) and an engagement piece (3) rotatably supported in the long hole (22). On the engagement piece (3) are formed a pair of projections (35) for rotation and a pair of projections for fall-out prevention, each pair projecting outward. A pair of rotation support grooves (27) for receiving and supporting rotating motion of the projections (35) and a pair of reception grooves (28) for receiving the projections (36) are formed in the long hole (22).
