Abstract:
A block copolymer which contains: a polymer block A that contains a monomer unit (a1) derived from a farnesene; and a random copolymer block B that contains a monomer unit (b1) derived from a conjugated diene having 12 or less carbon atoms and a monomer unit (b2) derived from an aromatic vinyl compound. This block copolymer is configured such that: the mass ratio (A/B) of the polymer block A to the random copolymer block B in this block copolymer is from 30/70 to 0.5/99.5; the content of the monomer unit (b2) derived from an aromatic vinyl compound in the random copolymer block B is 1-50% by mass; and the weight average molecular weight (Mw) of this block copolymer is from 100,000 to 5,000,000.
