Abstract:

A block copolymer (1) comprising a block of a conjugated diene polymer and a block of a random copolymer of a conjugated diene with an aromatic vinyl, (2) having a weight ratio of the polymer block A to the copolymer B of (5 : 95) to (95 : 5), (3) having a content of the bound aromatic vinyl in the copolymer block B of 1 to 50 % by weight, (4) having a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 100,000 to 5,000,000, and (5) having at least two transition points present in the range of from -150 to +150 �C as measured with a differential scanning calorimeter, a process for preparing the same, a rubber composition comprising the same, and a pneumatic tire made therefrom.
