Abstract:
A block data check method and apparatus. The method comprises: among a block comprising multiple data nodes, selecting a data node used for storing newly added data (S110); for the data node, determining a check value of the newly added data (S120); computing an updated check value of the data node according to the check value of the newly added data (S130); and obtaining a check value of the block according to the updated check value of the data node and an original check value of another data node comprised in the block (S140), the check value of the block being used for checking whether data stored in the block is consistent with data stored in the another block in a block chain. An updated check value of a data node used for storing newly added data is determined by using the newly added data, accordingly, the problem in the prior art of long time consumption caused if the check value is computed by using all data in a block when data is newly added in a block, and the time of computing the check value is effectively shortened, thereby improving the efficiency of block data check.
