Abstract:
The present invention provides a blocking member support structure for a gas generator, which comprises a combination of a blocking member disposed inside a cylindrical housing so as to block a gas discharge passage and a support member for support the blocking member, said gas generator having an ignition means which is housed inside the cylindrical housing having a gas discharge port as well as an inflation gas source chamber which is filled with an inflation gas source. In the case of the blocking member support structure for the gas generator: the support member has a base section, a convex first support member which extends in one direction from a center part of the base section, and also gas-passing holes which are formed at least in parts of the base section and the first support member; the blocking member is a plate-like member having a first surface and a second surface; the blocking member is supported from one surface side by butting the tip surface of the first support member against a center part of the first surface or the second surface while leaving an annular surface against which the convex first support member is not butted; and the blocking member is opened as the annular surface thereof is torn open.
