Abstract:
The present invention relates to a blood clot removal system and, more specifically, to a blood clot removal system wherein blood clots can be continuously suctioned by reestablishing blood flow within a blood vessel and forming a microfluidic circuit through multiple side holes, the blood clots are split or broken into small pieces to be removed completely, and the blood clots can be removed while vascular damage and distal emboli occurring due to the crushed blood clots are minimized. In addition, blood clots are continuously deformed by forming a microfluidic circuit, and the blood clots are recovered through a guiding catheter by moving the blood clots along the formed fluid circuit while breaking same into small pieces, thereby effectively crushing and removing the blood clots in a blood vessel having a small diameter and a tortuous path, such as a cerebral blood vessel. Furthermore, a fluid jet rather than a material with high hardness, such as a metal, acts directly on the blood vessel wall, thereby minimizing vascular damage.
