Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a blood component separation device with which the total time can be reduced and the blood donor's time burden can be alleviated when a blood component donation of a high-concentration platelet solution is being given. The present invention is characterized by having a temporary reservoir bag (Y2) (also serves as a buffy coat bag), which is a whole-blood bag for storing whole-blood collected from the blood donor, and characterized in that a controlling means, when carrying out a circulating flow step and/or acceleration step, collects whole-blood from the donor in parallel and keeps same in the temporary reservoir bag (Y2).
