Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a blood filter that: has no reduction in physical properties as a result of electron beam sterilization when used as a blood filter; has excellent durability, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance; has biocompatibility; and has no reduction in physical properties during electron beam sterilization. This blood filter is characterized by including a nonwoven fabric comprising PEEK fibers. Ideally, this blood filter has an average pore diameter of 3–280 µm, a porosity of 15%–70%, and an average fiber diameter for the PEEK fibers of no more than 10 µm.
