Abstract:
In addition to applications in athletic performance improvement, fat accumulation suppression, and skin quality improvement in connection with the peripheral vasodilatation, this blood flow promoting agent can also be applied to ensuring blood circulation in ischemic diseases, relaxation of blood vessels predisposed to contraction due to age or lifestyle-related diseases, arteriosclerosis prevention, and prevention of shoulder stiffness caused by impaired blood flow, over-sensitivity to cold, erectile dysfunction, thrombosis, etc. This blood flow promoting agent is safe even when dosed over a long period of time, contains, as active components, citrulline or a salt thereof and capsaicin or a capsaicinoid, and in particular exhibits a vasodilating action effective at low doses at which capsaicin does not cause irritation. Also provided are health-promoting foods and functional foods from which the action of this blood flow promoting agent may be obtained.
