Abstract:
Provided is a blood purification device which makes it possible to easily ascertain, during a disconnection step, that an artery-side puncture needle or a vein-side puncture needle is in a state of puncturing a patient while a blood pump is being driven. A blood purification device equipped with: a blood circuit 1 for circulating the blood of a patient outside the body; a dialyzer 2 capable of purifying the blood flowing through the blood circuit 1; a blood pump 3 capable of fluid delivery when driven, and positioned in an artery-side blood circuit 1a; and a control means 10 for performing a connection step for driving the blood pump 3 while an artery-side puncture needle a and a vein-side puncture needle b are in a state of puncturing the patient, and a disconnection step for driving the blood pump 3 while the artery-side puncture needle a and the vein-side puncture needle b are in a state of not puncturing the patient. During the disconnection step, the control means 10 sets a limiting state that limits operation when starting to drive the blood pump 3.
