Abstract:
This blood purifier is provided with multiple hollow fiber membranes inside of which blood flows and outside of which a dialysate or filtrate flows. The hollow fiber membranes have an effective length of 10-150mm. Defining Jvmax as the maximum value of the permeation flux Jv obtained by dividing the volume of the permeate that passes through the hollow fiber membranes by the surface area of the hollow fiber membranes and time, uB as the linear velocity of the blood flowing inside of the hollow fiber membranes, and TMP as the pressure difference between the blood inside and the liquid outside of the hollow fiber membranes, when the amount of blood filled in the hollow fiber membranes per unit of surface area of the membranes is 20-35mL/m2 and the value of Jvmax/uB is 0.00015-0.0006, the condition is satisfied that the value of the TMP change rate is 0.95-1.05.
