Abstract:
A blower device (50) comprises an outer casing (3) having an intake port (5) and a discharge port (6), and a centrifugal fan (30) accommodated inside the outer casing (3), air being taken in through the intake port (5) by the centrifugal fan (30), and an air flow being blown out through the discharge port (6). In an air duct extending from the intake port (5) to an opposite-motor-side suction port (7) and a motor-side suction port (8) of the centrifugal fan (30), a flow-diverting plate (11) is provided which is installed in a position where the plate does not come into contact with the centrifugal fan (30), which faces the intake port (5), and which is bent towards the opposite-motor-side suction port (7) and the motor-side suction port (8) of the centrifugal fan (30) so that a centrifugal fan (30) side becomes recessed. The length of a bent part (11b), which is a portion from a peak (11p) of the bend in the flow-diverting plate (11) to an end part (11a), is less than the length between the peak (11p) and a point where an extension of the bent part (11b) would intersect a suction port surface (2a) of the centrifugal fan (30).
