Abstract:
The blower unit (10) is equipped with an electric motor (20), a fan (30), and a scroll casing (40). The scroll casing is such that an upper wall section (42) thereof is provided with a recessed part (423) that forms a nose part (402) defining the start of winding of an air passage (400). The scroll casing is provided with an air supply part (50) that forms an air supply space (51) communicating with the downstream side of the air passage with respect to airflow from the fan and thereby supplying a portion of the airflow flowing in the air passage to the electric motor. The scroll casing is provided with a communication hole (424) that provides communication between the inner space of the recessed part and the air passage without going through the air supply part. The air supply part is provided with an intrusion suppression part (54) for suppressing intrusion of water into the air supply space.
