Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a blower that suppresses an increase in temperature of a motor. A blower 22 according to the present invention comprises: a motor 100, the shell of which is formed of a cylindrical housing 102; a centrifugal impeller 300 that is rotationally driven by the motor 100 through a rotary shaft 101; and a casing 23 that stores the motor 100 and the centrifugal impeller 300. The casing 23 is provided with a suction port 57 that faces the housing 102 and opens to an axial direction, and a discharge port 58 that is positioned on the centrifugal impeller 300 side and that opens to an axial direction in which air, which has been discharged from the centrifugal impeller 300, is discharged. A suction passage 59 in communication with the suction port 57 for guiding air to the centrifugal impeller 300 is formed between an inner wall 24 of the casing 23 and the housing 102. The suction passage 59 is provided with a radial outward passage 61 for changing the direction of an air flow, which has been directed from the suction port 57 in the axial direction, to a radial direction.
