Abstract:
A piezoelectric blower (100) equipped with a valve (80), a case (17), an oscillation plate (41), and a piezoelectric element (42). Together with the case (17), the oscillation plate (41) forms a cylindrical blower chamber (31) which is sandwiched therebetween, in the thickness direction of the oscillation plate (41). Furthermore, the oscillation plate (41) and the case (17) are formed such that the blower chamber (31) has a radius (a). The piezoelectric element (42) causes the oscillation plate (41) to undergo concentric circular bending oscillation with a resonance frequency (f). When the acoustic velocity of air passing through the blower chamber (31) is c and the value satisfying the relationship a first-kind Bessel function J0(k0) = 0 is k0, the radius (a) of the blower chamber (31) and the resonance frequency (f) of the oscillation plate (41) satisfy the relationship 0.8×(k0c)/(2π)≤af≤1.2×(k0c)/(2π).
