Abstract:
Provided is a blower that can achieve low noise through a considerable reduction in turbulence noise that is likely to occur in an inner surface center of a suction grill, thereby decreasing noise from the device overall. A blower fan 4 is arranged in the interior of a cylindrical body case 1, and a suction grill 11 and a cylindrical air intake body 12 are arranged front-to-rear between the fan 4 and a rear opening 9 of the body case 1. The suction grill 11, which is adjacent to the blower fan 4, is provided with an inwardly-concave curved vent screen 23 that bulges out toward the blower fan 4, and a mounting section 24 that juts out at the peripheral edge of the vent screen 23. The air intake body 12 is mounted onto the rear opening 9 of the body case 1, and is provided with a suction intake 29 at a cylinder end projecting rearward from the rear opening 9. The mounting section 24 of the suction grill 11 is positioned further forward than the front end of the air intake body 12.
