Abstract:
Provided is a blower with which the amount of air blown can be increased without raising the rotating speed of the blades. The blower comprises: a housing having a first intake port and an exhaust port, the interior of the housing being provided with an air passage through which air passes from the first intake port to the exhaust port; two or more blades for sending air downstream from upstream along an air passage direction, in which air passes through the air passage, by rotating, the two or more blades being arranged between the first intake port and the exhaust port within the housing and arranged at intervals in the air passage direction; and a rotation drive source for rotating the two or more blades. The housing has an intermediate intake port between two blades that of the two or more blades are adjacent in the air passage direction. The two or more blades can be set so that the amount of air sent downstream by the blade that, of the two blades adjacent in the air passage direction, is downstream in the air passage direction is greater than the amount of air sent downstream by the blade that is upstream in the air passage direction. The two or more blades can comprise a first blade that is upstream in the air passage direction and a second blade that is downstream. The housing can have a tubular shape in which the axis line extends vertically, and the exhaust port can be open throughout 360 degrees in a circumferential direction relative to the axis line of the housing.
