Abstract:
The on-board communication system according to an embodiment comprises an antenna installed in a vehicle to perform short-range communication with a user terminal device present in a communication area around the vehicle, and a control unit installed in the vehicle to execute a predetermined authentication process when the radio field intensity of a signal received from the user terminal device via the antenna or a signal received by the user terminal device from the antenna is larger than or equal to a threshold. The control unit notifies, using a notification unit, the user of information about a target communication position at which the user terminal device should be located when registering the threshold.
