Abstract:
Provided is an on-board device comprising a control unit that calculates vehicle information of an own vehicle in a vehicle information area to enter before the own vehicle enters a transmission on-board device determination area for determining an on-board device transmitting, to a center, the vehicle information concerning a vehicle on which the on-board device is mounted, requests, when the own vehicle enters the transmission on-board device determination area, communication to an on-board device mounted on another vehicle, receives, when a vehicle-to-vehicle communication performed between the own vehicle and the other vehicle is established after a representative vehicle condition in the transmission on-board device determination area is satisfied, vehicle information of the other vehicle from the other on-board device not satisfying the representative vehicle condition by performing the vehicle-to-vehicle communication, and sends, when the vehicle-to-vehicle communication is established before the representative vehicle condition in the transmission on-board device determination area is satisfied, the vehicle information of the own vehicle to the other on-board device satisfying the representative vehicle condition by performing the vehicle-to-vehicle communication.
