Title:
BOARD GAME SYSTEM, ETC.
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/066656
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system that enables an existing capacitive touch panel to be used as a board for a board game. The present invention relates to a board game system in which a capacitive touch panel capable of detecting a plurality of touch positions by detecting changes in capacitance is used as a board. This board game system is provided with: an electronic device equipped with a touch panel; and one or more gaming pieces which are used for being placed on the touch panel. Each of the one or more gaming pieces at least partly comprises a conductive part. The conductive part is disposed away from a touch surface across a nonconductive part or a gap. In the case where a gaming piece is placed on the touch panel, unless the conductive part is touched by a user, a capacitance change that is equal to or greater than a prescribed amount is not induced on the touch surface at a position in contact with the conductive part, whereas in the case where the conductive part is touched by the user, a capacitance change that is equal to or greater than a prescribed amount is induced on the touch surface at a position in contact with the conductive part; and the electronic device recognizes the gaming pieces and determines the movements thereof.
