Abstract:
The direction of movement of bob-sled sledges is changed due to controlled distortion, in a vertical plane, of the pair of runners provided with sliding blades curved in a plane. As a result of the distortion the actual point of contact between the runners and the ice is moved to their zones with the sliding blade orientation providing for the turn of the sledges.
