Abstract:
A body fat measuring apparatus comprises a torso width measuring unit (100A) provided with a torso width detecting part to detect the torso width of a subject. The torso width measuring unit (100A) has a frame shape capable of being positioned so as to surround the torso (301) of a subject, and comprises: base parts (101) which do not move relative to the torso (301) when positioned so as to surround the torso (301); and a movable part (102) which is movably attached to the base parts (101) so as to be able to move relative to the torso (301) when positioned so as to surround the torso (301). The torso width detecting part comprises at least non-contact type distance measuring sensors (SA1, SA2) disposed on the movable part (102).
