Abstract:
A body motion detection device that can accurately detect a motion of a user’s body
according to the direction of the motion without being affected by the position and
orientation of the installation of a device body on the body. A control section (110)
calculates an acceleration vector which is a detection output from a three-axis acceleration
sensor (101) and calculates a gravitational acceleration vector. A predetermined
calculation where the calculated gravitational acceleration vector and acceleration
vector are taken into account is performed to extract the vertical component
included in the acceleration vector. A motion in the vertical direction of the
user’s body is accurately detected by analyzing the vertical component.
