Abstract:
This body supporting device includes a plurality of movable components, and further includes a drive motor that produces drive force to actuate the movable components, and a transmission unit that is provided between the movable components and a drive unit, and transmits the drive force to the movable components. The movable component to which the drive force is transmitted is selected and switched among the plurality of movable components, thereby actuating the plurality of movable components by the single drive motor. Hence, by switching the plurality of movable components to be actuated using a single drive device, a body supporting device and the like that is capable of appropriately supporting a body is provided.
