Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/032696
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention relates to the automobile industry, in particular to the design of a body of a tire spike for transport means in order to increase the road adherence thereof. In the first variant, the inventive body is embodied in the form of a hollow thin-walled collar which is made from sheet material with the aid of a deep drawing. A wear resistant plug is arranged and fixed on the internal or external surface of said collar. The collar is provided on its other end with a wall, which is drawn in the radial direction away from the axis of the collar and forms an annular flange. A peripheral part of said flange is deflected to the axis of the collar in such a way that it has at least one curvature on the external surface of the deflected part. In the second variant, the body is embodied in the form of a thin-walled barrel having a closed bottom, which is provided with an external bead in the area of transition of the wall into the bottom. Said bead forms the flange of the body.
