Disclosed is body velocity estimating device (10A) comprising an acceleration measuring unit (11), an acceleration separating unit (12), a filtering operation unit (13), an acceleration adding unit (14), an integrating operation unit (15) and an estimated body velocity output unit (16).  The acceleration separating unit (12) compares an acceleration measured in the acceleration measuring unit (11) and the upper and lower limit reference values of a set acceleration, thereby to separate the measured acceleration into an in-reference-range acceleration and an out-reference-range acceleration.  The filtering operation unit (13) filters the out-reference-range accelerations separated, to calculate the filtered acceleration of the out-reference-range acceleration.  The acceleration adding unit (14) adds the filtered acceleration to the in-reference-range acceleration separated beforehand.  The integrating operation unit (15) multiplies the added acceleration by an operation period, and adds the resultant product to an estimated body velocity calculated one operation period before, thereby to update the value of the estimated body velocity.  The estimated body velocity output unit (16) outputs the estimated body velocity updated.
