Abstract:
Provided is a boiler that acquires a desired recirculation flow of boiler water through a downcomer pipe without causing higher costs or making the boiler larger. The boiler (1) comprises a boiler body (10) having a plurality of water pipes (12) disposed extending in the vertical direction, a lower header (13) disposed below the plurality of water pipes (12) and connected to the bottom end of the plurality of water pipes (12), an upper header (14) disposed above the plurality of water pipes (12) and connected to the top end of the plurality of water pipes (12), and a burner (16) for heating the plurality of water pipes (12), said upper header (14) having a gas-liquid separation space (14A) formed therein for separating steam generated in the water pipes (12) and boiler water pushed up from the water pipes (12). The boiler further comprises a downcomer pipe (20) linking the lower header (13) and the upper header (14), and a water supply pipe (90) connected to the downcomer pipe (20).
