Abstract:
This bolt feeder feeds a bolt to a resistance welding machine which performs resistance welding on a workpiece and a bolt, using a stationary lower electrode and an upper electrode that moves vertically. The bolt feeder comprises: a holder which receives, at a receiving position, a bolt delivered from a shooter such that the bolt is positioned so as to have the head is situated above the shank; a cylinder which moves the holder holding the bolt, from the receiving position to a welding position; and a pusher which has a smaller diameter than the upper electrode and which moves into and out of a leading end of the upper electrode. The bolt has a protrusion on the top surface of the head, located on the side opposite to the shank. The lower electrode is provided with an insertion hole through which the shank is to be inserted. As the pusher protruding out of the leading end of the upper electrode pushes a portion of the top surface where the protrusion is absent, the shank gets inserted into the insertion hole.
