Description:

BOLT AND NUT FASTENING SET SECURED AGAINST THEFT

BACKROUND OFTHE INVENTION

The present invention relates to secure bolt and nut fastening set against theft. PRIOR ART ABOUT THE INVENTION

In open spaces and especially in energy transmission lines or suchlike systems, hexagonal nuts and bolts are commonly used as standard fastening component. However, since these hexagonal nuts and bolts used as standard fastening components are easily demountable with an appropriate wrench and the ground conditions do not pose any obstacle to theft, thievery commitments are of a high percentage and both financial damages arise and also by reason of these demounted fastening components, the endurance of the system is diminished and even collapse.

AIMS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE INVENTION With the improvement of this invention relating to secure bolt and nut fastening set against theft, it is proposed to provide nuts and bolts fastening components set which are easily installed, secure against theft and impenetrable.

Secure bolt and nut fastening set against theft improved with this invention is not possible to be demounted in normal ways, but only be parted by using methods causing damages. For this reason, with the "secure bolt and nut fastening set against theft" improved with this invention, the theft commitments of nuts and bolts in constructions becomes meaningless.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Secure bolt and nut fastening set against theft improved with this invention is designed to use steel as main material. The fastening set is basically composed of a cup head bolt on one end and on other end a nut conical on one side and hexagonal on the other side.

In this secure bolt and nut fastening set against theft improved with this invention, the fastening is possible through the conical nut working on the gears of cup head bolt which is transmitted through the holes on the same axis of the steel material to be connected. Fastening eventuates through separation of the hexagonal part of the nut -which enables wrench to work on it and is an integral part before the

fastening- on the thin section of the nut which is able to break off at the moment that the parts are fully squeezed. On the other part where the bolt head is, plunging onto the fastening surface with the effect of squeeze, the two pieces of joggles under the head part of the cup head bolt strengthens the fastening and makes demounting impossible.

DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

The figures prepared for a better explanation of the secure bolt and nut fastening set against theft improved with this invention are enclosed. Description of the figures is as follows; Figure -1 Perspective view of nuts and bolts together Figure -2 Perspective view of bolt Figure -3 Perspective view of nut

Figure 4- Perspective view of nuts and bolts together with the pieces to be connected DEFINITION OF THE COMPONENTS (PARTS-FEATURES) ON THE FIGURES The parts shown on the figures are numbered individually for a better explanation of the secure bolt and nut fastening set against theft improved with this invention. Explanation of each part (feature) numbered is given as follows:

1- Cup head bolt shaft part

2- Joggle 3- Cup head bolt head part

4- Conical part of nut

5- Hexagonal part of nut

6- Cup head bolt

7- First part to be fastened 8- Second part to be fastened

9- Threaded part of cup head bolt

10- Breakable thin section of nut

11- Inside threaded part of nut

12- Nut conical in one side and hexagonal on the other side

The main parts of the secure bolt and nut fastening set against theft improved with this invention are;

• Cup head bolt (6) consisting of shaft part (1), joggles (2), head part (3) and threaded part (9), and • Nut conical in one side and hexagonal on the other side (12) consisting of conical part (4), hexagonal part (5), breakable thin section (10) and threaded part (11).

Cup head bolt shaft part (1) is cylindrical in general view and is the integral middle part of the cup head bolt (6). Upper part of the shaft part (1) is integral with the cup head bolt head part (3) and the inferior part is integral with the cup head bolt threaded part (9). After the fastening, the first part to be fastened (7) and the second part to be fastened (8) are located on the cup head bolt shaft part (1). Spherical length and the radius of the cup head bolt shaft part (1) may be variable depending on the thickness of the parts to be fastened.

Cup head bolt head part (3) may also be cylindrical. Joggles (2) are at the inferior part of the cup head bolt head part (3) and preferably symmetrically 2 pieces. The number of joggles (2) may be optionally one or more than two. Through the squeezing after fastening, plunging onto the first part to be fastened (7), the joggles (2) strengthen the fastening and makes demounting impossible. Joggles (2) may have view of shapes such as triangle, spiky conical.

The cup head bolt head part (3) is the upper integral part of cup head bolt (6). The cup head bolt head part (3) takes place on the first part to be fastened (7). The inferior part of the head part (3) integrally consists of cup head bolt shaft part (1). On the inferior surface of the bolt head part (3) are the joggles (2). Since the shape of the cup head bolt head part (3) is spherical, demounting of the fastening by a wrench is impossible.

Nut conical in one side and hexagonal on the other side (12) consists of breakable thin section (10), hexagonal part (5), conical part (4) and the threaded part (11) of the nut The center of the conical part (4) of the nut (12) is a hole of a cylindrical shape with adequate diameter enabling the cup head bolt threaded part (9) click into place of its inside. Inside the cylindrical hole is the threaded part (11) in order to

enable the cup head bolt threaded part (9) squeeze. The dimension of the conical part (4) of the nut (12) itself and the threaded part (11) which is a hole at the center may vary in respect to the thickness of the fastening set. The conical part (4) of the nut (12) is left alone at the fastening point through separation of the hexagonal part (5) after fastening.

The conical part (4) of the nut (12) may also be cylindrical.

Hexagonal part (5) of the nut (12) is preferably of hexagonal shape enabling the wrench work on it. Hexagonal part (5) of the nut (12) is integral with the conical part of the nut (4) before fastening. Between the hexagonal part (5) of the nut (12) and the conical part (4) there is breakable thin section (10). This breakable thin section (10) breaks off with the effect of squeezing and the hexagonal part (5) falls off.

Hexagonal part (5) of the nut (12) may be hexagonal also triangular, quadrangular, pentagonal or more angled. Cup head bolt (6) consists of cup head bolt shaft part (1), joggles (2), the cup head bolt head part (3) and the cup head bolt threaded part (9).

The first part to be fastened (7) and the second part to be fastened (8) are . the surfaces where the fastening will be made and their thickness may vary to the extent that the fastening point requires. Through the squeezing after fastening, plunging onto the first part to be fastened (7), the joggles (2) strengthen the fastening and moreover prevent demounting.

The cup head bolt threaded part (9) is the integral bottom part of the cup head bolt (6). On the cup head bolt threaded part (9) is the threaded part (11) matching with the threads in the conical part of the nut (4). Threads (9 and 11) provide squeeze after fastening.

Breakable thin section (10) is integral with the hexagonal part (5) and conical part of the nut (4) before fastening. Breakable thin section (10), breaks off with the effect of squeezing and the hexagonal part (5) falls off. In this way conical part (4) does not enable any wrench to work on it and the fastening is only possible by using methods causing damages.

The parts to be fastened (7 and 8) by the secure bolt and nut fastening set against theft improved with this invention are fastened as described below.

Firstly the cup head bolt (6) is transmitted through the holes on the same axis of the parts to be fastened (7 and 8). Afterwards the nut conical on one side and hexagonal on the other side (12) is fastened and squeezed on the threaded part (9) of the cup head bolt (6) from the other side, At the moment of full squeeze, hexagonal part breaks and falls off on the breakable thin section (10). Additionally joggles (2) at the bottom of the head part (3) of the cup head bolt (6) strengthen the fastening through plunging onto the fastening surface. By this way it can not be wrenched and since only the conical part (4) will remain on the nut (12) it is not possible to wrench the fastening.
