A bolt rotation prevention device is configured in such a manner that a bolt has a head which is provided at an end of the shaft of the bolt, flat surfaces which are parallel to the axial direction of the shaft are provided at the outer peripheral surface of the head, the bolt is fastened in position by the thread while a washer which is sandwiched between the head and a member to be fastened protrudes in the radial direction of the shaft from between the head and the member to be fastened, and the bolt rotation prevention device is affixed, while being made to be in contact with a flat surface, by a screw to the member to be fastened. The bolt rotation prevention device consists of an elastic plate-like material having a first hole through which a screw is inserted. The bolt rotation prevention device is provided with rectilinear edges which form a second hole having a size which enables the head to be inserted through the second hole, and a rectilinear edge is made to be in contact with the flat surface. The first hole is provided at a position located on the opposite side of the second hole from the edge so as to be spaced a predetermined distance from the edge.
