Abstract:
A bonded material comprising a crystalline graphite material and a metallic material. The crystalline graphite material has a carbon purity of 99.9% or higher, a plane-direction heat conductivity of 600 W/m·K or greater, and a degree of anisotropy in electrical conduction and/or thermal conduction, in the basal-plane in-plane and thickness directions, of 50 or greater. The metallic material comprises at least one metal selected from among iron, nickel, tungsten, copper, and aluminum. A basal-plane thickness-direction surface of the crystalline graphite material has been bonded to the metallic material by both a metal oxide including at least one metal and a metal carbide including at least one metal, and the ends of basal planes of the crystalline graphite material have been bonded to the metallic material by the metal carbide.
