Abstract:
The present invention provides a book storage and management system capable of reducing the load on a worker during book inspection work. A management device (24) comprises: a book reading means (8) that reads a book identification information recording unit (7) which has recorded book identification information for books (4); a container reading means (23) that reads a container identification information recording unit (22) which has recorded container identification information for containers (6); inspection conveyance means (12, 15, 11, 10, 29) which convey containers, (6) wherein books (4) to be inspected are housed, from a library (3) to the book reading means and the container reading means (23), for inspection; and inspection control means (28, 29) which perform the inspection work of associating the book identification information and container identification information stored in a storage means (28), based on the book identification information read by the book reading means (8) and the container identification information read by the container reading means (23).
