Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a bookbinding method for an adhesive-bound booklet with which it is possible to cleanly cut out one or several arbitrary fold sections or leaves of a text from the gutter, while providing excellent spreadability.
[Solution] A bookbinding method for an adhesive-bound booklet according to the present invention comprises: a step of folding a sheet in two to obtain a plurality of fold sections; a step of pressurizing fold parts of the plurality of fold sections in a thickness direction thereof; a step of arranging a one-booklet bundle formed of a prescribed number of fold sections corresponding to a text, a front cover, and a back cover, or a plural-booklet bundle formed of a plurality of the one-booklet bundles stacked together; a step of coating a layer of a first adhesive that shows flexibility when cured onto an intermediate region of the back of the one-booklet bundle or the plural-booklet bundle which is 5 to 10 mm off the top and bottom edges thereof; a step, after letting the first adhesive layer stand for a prescribed drying time, of coating a second adhesive onto an entire surface of the back surface including the portions not coated with the first adhesive; and a step of drying and curing the second adhesive for a prescribed drying time.
