Abstract:
This boom equipment 1 is disposed near a water intake E for a run-of-the-river hydroelectric power station and is for preventing floating debris K containing trash and driftwood from being drawn into the water intake E of a water intake channel R2 branching from the main current R1, said water intake being provided adjacent to a fish passage R3. The boom equipment comprises an elongated float 2 that is disposed so as to cross the front of the water intake E toward the fish passage R3, and a helical screw 3 that is provided on the periphery of the float. One end of the float 2 positioned on the upstream side of the water intake channel R2 is supported so as to freely rotate, with respect to a support 4, 5 disposed near the water intake E, parallel to the flow of the main current R1. Thus, the floating debris K stranded on the float 2 can be collected with the screw 3 by way of the float 2 being rotated by the current of the fish passage R3 and the collected floating debris K can be easily removed by guiding the debris to the fish passage R3 using the rotation of the float 2 without the debris flowing toward a screen 10; therefore, smooth flow of water to the water intake channel R2 can be ensured.
