Abstract:
In this boom turning angle detection device (30), a turning angle detection gear (31) is attached to an end of a shaft of a pinion gear (21) that meshes with a ring gear (22) formed on a slewing bearing (3) rotatably supporting a crane boom (6), and the amount of rotation of the turning angle detection gear (31) is detected by a proximity sensor (32) for turning angle detection. The turning angle detection gear (31) is not meshed with the ring gear (22) or pinion gear (21), which compose a turning force transmission mechanism; thus, grease, and the like, do not adhere to the turning angle detection gear (31) and the external teeth for detection (31a) of the turning angle detection gear (31) are not subject to wear, so accurate turning angle detection is possible.
