Abstract:
A boost converter is provided with: a rectifier for rectifying an AC voltage to a DC voltage and outputting the rectified DC voltage to first and second DC terminals; a plurality of chopper circuit units each having a reactor having one terminal connected to the first DC terminal, a reverse current prevention element connected between the other terminal of the reactor and a first output terminal, and a switching element having one terminal connected to a connection portion between the reactor and the reverse current prevention element and the other terminal connected to a second output terminal; a smoothing capacitor connected between the first and second output terminals; a bus line voltage detector for detecting a bus line voltage; a bus line current detector for detecting a bus line current; and a control unit for obtaining a bus line current command value on the basis of a bus line voltage command value and the bus line voltage, obtaining an on-duty command value on the basis of the bus line current command value and the bus line current, and performing a boosting operation. A current flowing through each reactor independently is detected before the start of the boosting operation, and the on-duty command value is corrected for each of the chopper circuit units on the basis of the measured value of the current flowing through each reactor independently during the boosting operation.
