Abstract:

A booster device 300 for an olfactory display, for making it possible to increase as well as decrease the flow rate of air for conveying a scent emitted from a scent cartridge, augments the scent emitting ability of the olfactory display 50. The olfactory display has a columnar shape having a first surface, a second surface, and a side surface, a jetting port for jetting a scent is provided in the first surface, and a wind force source for jetting the scent to the outside of the olfactory display is provided in the olfactory display. The booster device includes a housing for accommodating the olfactory display in the inside thereof, and a fan inside the housing, provided on the second surface side of the olfactory display. The housing includes a cylindrical external housing, and a retaining member for retaining the olfactory display in the housing. The retaining member retains the olfactory display so that an air flow passage through which wind from the fan passes is formed between the external housing and the olfactory display.
