Title:
BORIDE HAVING CHEMICAL COMPOSITION NA-SI-B, AND POLYCRYSTALLINE REACTION SINTERED PRODUCT OF BORIDE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/023568
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are: a novel boride which is useful as a highly functional material; and a novel process for producing a polycrystalline sintered product of a boride, which requires reduced energy cost, does not require the use of any sintering aid, enables the molding into a complicated shape, and also enables the production of a multi-component boride. A boride having a chemical composition Na-Si-B, and a polycrystalline reaction sintered product of the boride, wherein a mixed molded article comprising boron and an element M (wherein M represents Si and/or C) is heated together with metal sodium to produce the polycrystalline reaction sintered product.
