Description:

Description BOTANICAL POWDERED HAIR DYE COMPOSITION

Technical Field

[1] The present invention relates to a botanical powdered hair dye composition, and more particularly to a hair dye composition containing botanical ingredients in a powdered form, which protects hair against oxidative agents and can be stored stably. Background Art

[2] Conventional hair dye compositions includes composition 1 that contains alkali and one or more kinds of dye precursors, which is oxidized later in the process, and composition 2 that is used with an excessive amount of hydrogen peroxide. These compositions 1 and 2 are mixed with to color the hair. Disclosure of Invention

Technical Problem

[3] However, this method is problematic in that the strong alkali contained in the reducing agents used as composition 1 and the hydrogen peroxide of the oxidative agents contained in the 2' composition change the hair structure after being applied to the hair. Theses chemicals make the hair coarse and dull.

[4] It is also disadvantageous in that the alkali reducing agent containing ammonia and amine produce an extremely strong odor during the hair coloring process. This coloring procedure is an inconvenient method of dyeing hair.

[5] Furthermore, hair dye tends to change in quality once it is used and stored. It is also easy to accidentally spill the hair dye solution due to its liquid nature. Technical Solution

[6] The present invention solves the above problems, and provides a hair dye composition containing botanical ingredients in a powdered form, which uses water, instead of the strong alkali contained in composition 1 and the hydrogen peroxide used for composition 2, and uses cereal powder, starch and dextrin, which do not adversely affect the human body and hair and remain relatively safe during use.

Advantageous Effects

[7] As described above, the present invention provides a hair dye composition containing botanical powder in which food grade cereal flour, starch and dextrin are included. Hair dye containing botanical ingredients does not damage the hair because it protects the hair against strong alkali and oxidative agents commonly used in conventional cream-type hair dyes. Furthermore, the hair dye composition in the present invention is less likely to be accidentally spilled. Therefore, they can be stored more safely. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

[15] The cereal powder is used as a type of filler. Preferably, the cereal powder should be one or more selected from a group comprising wheat flour, rice flour, barley flour and bean flour. It provides glutinosity for the hair dye.

[16] In the present invention, cereal powder is limited to the range of 5-25 wt%. When less than 5wt% of cereal powder is added, the user feels uncomfortable due to the low level of glutinosity. When more than 25wt% of cereal powder is added, the user feels uncomfortable due to the high level of glutinosity.

[17] The starch is also used as a type of filler. Preferably, the starch is one or more selected from a group comprising corn starch, potato starch and sweet potato starch. It provides viscosity to the hair dye.

[18] In the present invention, starch is limited to the range of 5~25wt%. When less than

5wt% is added, the user feels uncomfortable due to the low level of viscosity. When more than 25wt% is added, the user feels uncomfortable due to the high level of viscosity.

[19] Dextrin is produced by an intermediate process for hydrolyzing starch. Dextrin is dissolved with water, alcohol or the like. Furthermore, dextrin plays a role in inhibiting the growth of microbes and prevents decomposition of the composition due to high osmotic pressure and low moisturizing activity. It also plays a role in preserving the fresh state of the hair dye for an extended period. Preferably, the dextrin is limited to the range of l~5wt% to manifest these effects.

[20] Preferably, the dextrin should be selected from either maltodextrin or cyclodextrin.

[21] Sage powder is prepared by processing the herb sage, well recognized for its healing properties, into a powdered form. The sage powder plays a role in preventing decomposition of the hair dye; disinfects and sterilizes microbes; cleanses blood; is antibiotic and anti-inflammatory; and is anti-febrile and carminative. Preferably, the sage powder should be limited to the range of 0. l~2wt% to manifest these effects.

[22] Chamomile powder is prepared by processing the chamomile herb, a European composite plant, into a powdered form. The chamomile powder plays a beautifying role for the body by treating skin inflammations such as contact allergies and various kinds of bacterial and fungal infections as an antibiotic. Preferably, the chamomile powder should be limited to the range of 0.01~0.5wt% to manifest these effects in the hair dye.

[23] Glycyrrhiza extracted powder is prepared by processing the glycyrrhiza extracted herb into a powdered form. The glycyrrhiza extracted powder plays a role in combating positions and toxins; treating drug poisoning; and neutralizing and detoxifying toxins produced by bacteria. Preferably, the glycyrrhiza extracted powder should be limited to the range of 0.01~0.5wt%.

[24] Rosemary powder is prepared by processing the rosemary herb into a powdered form. Rosemary plays a role in preventing aging and removing dandruffs. It is widely used as a raw material for beauty products such as anti-aging cosmetics. Preferably, the rosemary powder should be limited to the content range of 0.01~0.5wt% to manifest these effects.

[25] Preferably, the dye material is comprised of 0. l~5wt% of p-phenylenediamine,

0.1~5wt% of p-aminophenol, 0.1~5wt% of o-aminophenol and 0.1~5wt% of re- sorcinol. When the ratio of ingredients is adjusted, the dye material can provides a wide range of colors.

[26] The other ingredients in the hair dye disclosed in the present invention have the same function as those used in general hair dyes and thus will not be explained.

[27] The moisturizer is used to absorb and preserve water. Preferably, the moisturizer is limited to the content range of 16~30wt% to manifest the outstanding effects of the hair dye. Preferably, the moisturizer should be one or more selected from a group comprising sorbitol, xylitol, mannitol and maltitol. [28] The viscous material is a type of gel forming agent. It makes a solution or gel become viscous, when bounding with water. Preferably, the viscous material is limited to the content range of 5~20wt% to manifest its outstanding viscosity effects. [29] Preferably, the viscous material should be one or more selected from a group comprising sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium carboxymethylethylcellulose, guar gum and Acacia Senegal gum. [30] Sodium perborate and sodium sulfate anhydrous are used for the binding material in the present invention.
