Description:
BOTTLE HOLDER BOX

Technical Field

This invention relates to a bottle holder box.

Background Art

In the sector of trade in beverages or other bottled products such as wine, beer, liqueurs, oil and the like, the boxing of the bottle is particularly important.

It is well known, in fact, that boxes are used to contain the chosen bottle and to give distinction and value to the purchased product.

For example, bottles of fine wines are often delivered in boxes, usually made of wood, with decorations and brands that characterize the product and/or the producing company.

A similar issue can also be valid for bottles of liqueurs, distillates, but also olive oil, vinegar and other products.

One drawback of this practice is related to the final destination of the boxes after their use.

Once the bottle has been opened and the product consumed, in fact, the boxes are very often thrown away, thus increasing the amount of waste produced and increasing the impact on the environment generated by the box in its entire life cycle, from the consumption of raw materials and energy, to the costs associated with disposal.

Description of the Invention

The main aim of the present invention is to devise a bottle holder box that facilitates its reuse.

One object of the present invention is to devise a box for bottles that is multipurpose.

Another object of the present invention is to devise a box for bottles that allows overcoming the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art within the scope of a simple, rational, easy, efficient to use and cost-effective solution.

The aforementioned objects are achieved by the present bottle holder box having the characteristics of claim 1.

Brief Description of the Drawings Other characteristics and advantages of the present invention will be more evident from the description of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment of a bottle holder box, illustrated by way of an indicative, but non-limiting example, in the attached drawings in which:

Figure 1 is an axonometric view of the box according to the invention in closing configuration;

Figure 2 is an axonometric view of the box according to the invention in opening configuration;

Figures 3 to 6 are axonometric views of the box according to the invention in intermediate configurations;

Figure 7 is an axonometric view of a detail of the box according to the invention.

Embodiments of the Invention

With particular reference to these illustrations, reference numeral 1 globally indicates a box for bottles.

The box 1 comprises an outer surface 2 and at least one holding element 3 on which a bottle 4 can be placed.

In particular, the holding element 3 is of the type of a board equipped with a holding area 5 on which the bottle 4 can be positioned.

In the present embodiment, the holding area 5 is an empty area which is shaped narrow in the direction of the bottle neck, but different embodiments cannot be ruled out in which the holding area 5 is a lowered or concave portion of the holding element 3.

The holding element 3 is associated with the outer surface 2.

In the present embodiment, the holding element 3 is fixed to the outer surface 2 and is locked together with it, but solutions cannot be ruled out that provide for holding elements 3 that can be rotated or pulled out with respect to the outer surface 2.

According to the invention, the box 1 is moveable between a closing configuration (Figure 1), in which the outer surface defines a containment volume 6 and the holding element 3 is inserted in the containment volume 6, and an opening configuration (Figure 2), in which the outer surface 2 defines at least partially a supporting wall 7 and the holding element 3 is overhanging from the supporting wall 7.

Usefully, the outer surface 2 can be unwound from the closing configuration to the opening configuration.

The outer surface 2, in fact, is opened by switching from the closing configuration to the opening configuration.

Advantageously, the outer surface 2 comprises a plurality of surface portions 8 hinged to each other.

In the opening configuration, the surface portions 8 are substantially lying on the same plane.

In the closing configuration they are inclined the one with respect to the other to enclose the containment volume 6.

As shown in the figures, the outer surface comprises a plurality of surface portions 8 that are in contact with each other along one side and have a variable opening angle for the switch from the closing configuration to the opening configuration and vice versa.

In the present embodiment, the outer surface 2 comprises four surface portions 8 that in the closing configuration are orthogonal to each other to define a parallelepiped containment volume 6.

In the opening configuration, the surface portions 8 are adjacent to each other and lie on the same level to define the supporting wall 7.

The surface portions 8 have a flat, rectangular shape.

Usefully, each of the surface portions 8 comprises an outer face 8a, which in closing configuration is external to the containment volume 6, and an inner face 8b.

Advantageously, the outer surface 2 comprises a plurality of basic portions 9 associated with respective surface portions 8 and adapted to define an upper base surface 10 and a lower base surface 11 when the box 1 is in the closing configuration.

The basic portions 9 are flat elements orthogonal to the surface portions 8, positioned at the ends of the same surface portions 8.

In the closing position, the basic portions 9 are adjacent to each other and lying on the same plane to define a basic surface which is adapted to close the box 1. As shown in the figures, the holding element is associated with an inner face 8b of a surface portion 8.

Again with reference to this embodiment, the box 1 comprises a plurality of holding elements 3 each associated with one of the surface portions 8.

Usefully, each holding element 3 is fixed orthogonally to a respective surface portion 8, in particular to the inner face 8b of the same surface portions.

This way, in the opening configuration, the holding elements 3 are overhanging from the surface portions 8, defining shelves on which more than one bottle 4 can be placed.

In the closing configuration, the holding elements 3 adhere to the surface portions 8 they meet by rotating from the opening configuration to the closing configuration and also define the containment volume 6.

Advantageously, the box 1 comprises retaining means 12, 16 for retaining the box 1 in the opening configuration or closing configuration.

In particular, the retaining means 12, 16 comprise at least one flexible element 12 associated with the outer faces 8a and adapted to wind the same outer faces 8a in the closing configuration to prevent these from unwinding.

In the present embodiment, the flexible element 12 is of the type of a string rope, or other material, but flexible elements of other type, such as chains or belts, cannot be ruled out.

The flexible element 12 usefully comprises at least one constrained section 13 fixed to the surface portions 8.

In particular, the outer faces 8a comprise at least one groove 14 in which the constrained section 13 is housed.

In the present embodiment, the constrained section 13 is fixed into the groove 14.

Usefully, the constrained section 13 is glued in the groove 14, but other fastening methods cannot be ruled out that allow locking the groove 14 together with the flexible element 12.

The flexible element 12 also comprises at least one free section 15 which can be partly tied to constrain the box 1 in the opening configuration or in the closing configuration.

In the closing configuration, the free section 15 is wound around the prism defined by the outer surface 2.

The latter, therefore, is tied and constrained to remain in the closing configuration.

In the opening configuration, the free section 15 is associated with the holding elements 3 to give structural stability to the box 1.

In particular, as shown in the figures, the retaining means 12, 16 comprise at least one retaining seat 16 formed on the holding element 3.

In the opening configuration, the free section 15 is partly pulled and inserted into the retaining seats 16.

The hinging of the surface portions 8 is due to the fact that the flexible element 12 can bend and by the fact that the constrained section 13 keeps the surface portions 8 close to each other, actually establishing an axis of rotation.

Usefully, the retaining means 12, 16 comprise a pair of flexible elements 12 and a pair of respective retaining seats 16 formed on the holding element 3.

This way there is a structural symmetry that facilitates the stability of the box 1 in the opening configuration.

The retaining seats 16 shown are of the type of a slit obtained on the holding elements 3, but different solutions cannot be ruled out, e.g. holes, recesses, hooks, removable elements of various kinds and the like.

The free section 15 of the flexible element 12 is inserted in the retaining seats 16 and pulled in order to define a structural element which is adapted to stabilize the box 1 in the opening configuration.

Different retaining means, e.g. clips, hooks, conventional hinges and the like, cannot be ruled out.

The operation of the present invention is as follows.

In the closing configuration, the surface portions 8 define a parallelepiped and the containment volume 6 is used to contain a bottle 4.

By untying the flexible element 12, the surface portions 8 can rotate the one with respect to the other and the outer surface 2 can be unwound until the surface portions 8 lie on the same plane to form the supporting wall 7.

At this point, the box 1 is in the opening configuration, with the holding elements 3 overhanging from the supporting wall 7.

The free section 15 of the flexible element 12 is made to pass through the retaining seats 16 and pulled to give stability to the box 1.

This way it is possible to place some bottles 4 on the holding elements 3, using the box 1 as a bottle holder.

It has in practice been ascertained that the described invention achieves the intended objects and, in particular, the fact is underlined that the devised box for bottles facilitates its reuse.

The described box, in fact, in the opening configuration can be reused as a bottle rack display, or wall display, or cellar.

For this reason, the devised box is also multipurpose, proving to be versatile and easy to use.
