Description:
BOTTLE AND INJECTION APPARATUS SYSTEM FOR ADDING ADDITIVES TO VEHICLE LPG TANK

The invention relates to a bottle and apparatus system developed for adding additives into the LPG tank in order to prevent dirt occurred over time and therefore low efficiency in the tanks and fuel system of vehicle powered by LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas).

LPG, which is known as Liquefied Petroleum Gas, is obtained from a mixture of butane and propane gases. LPG, which is stored in a liquid state under pressure, has been widely used in automobiles as a result of efforts to search for alternative fuel due to the oil crisis that started especially after the 1970’s, and its usage has become widespread day by day and continues to be widespread as it is both environmentally friendly and economical.

For use in vehicles, many standard and tested tanks, which have been specially developed and are generally in cylindrical form, are installed in vehicles and LPG is stored in these tanks. It is easily filled by means of LPG filling pumps located in gas stations when the tank is empty.

Whether you use gasoline, diesel or LPG, the vehicle's fuel systems become contaminated over time and this reduces the efficiency of the vehicle. In this case, system cleaning agents are put into the tanks and cleaning is done and the previous efficiency of the vehicle is tried to be achieved.

Unlike gasoline and diesel vehicle tanks, LPG tanks are closed systems and there is continuous pressure inside. Therefore, it takes a long time to put the cleaning solution into the LPG tank, and serious costs may be required to eliminate the undesired situations during the application and accidents may occur. By means of the injection device and the additive bottle made of PVC and similar material in this invention, which have been developed to eliminate these problems, it has been ensured to transfer the solution to the LPG tank in a practical way without causing any accidents and to clean the system in this way. Thus, both undesired results are prevented and the system can be cleaned in a practical way and maintenance costs are reduced. The injection apparatus has been also developed for use without a bottle.

The bottle and apparatus system developed to achieve these objectives is illustrated in the attached figures, and the explanation of figures is given below:

5- Protective Solution

The bottle and injection apparatus system for adding additives to the vehicle LPG tank in this invention consists of these three main parts: main body-1 (3), where a fixed bottle punch (4) is located in the housing on it; the propane additive bottle (1 ) with a hole at both ends, which is located between the main body-1 (3) and the main body-2 (2) in the system, and acts as a housing for the protective solution (5); the main body (2) which presses the propane additive bottle (1 ) and pierce it, and acts as a safe transfer of the solution by being remained between the main body-1 (3) and itself.

The system can also be used by pouring the protective solution (5) into the bottle housing formed by the combination of the main body-1 (3) and the main body-2 (2) without using the propane additive bottle (1 ). In this case, the system is operated without using the propane additive bottle (1 ).

The protective solution (5), which is used for cleaning, may be produced from different raw materials which act as protector.

The propane additive bottle (1 ) with holes at both ends is preferably made of PVC material. However, it can be produced from similar materials to perform the same tasks. The propane additive bottle (1 ) act as a housing for the protective solution (5). At each end of the bottle (1 ) there are one riveted, breakable polyethylene safety cap (1.1 ) located symmetrically, aluminum clamping cap (1.2), and polyethylene sealing foil (1.3). The main body (2) is installed into the main body-1 (3) and prevents the escape of the propane additive bottle (1 ) located in the middle, and the gas inside it. It also includes the adapter to which the LPG gun will be connected. There are the bottle punch tip (2.1 ), the ball pushing spring (2.2), the anti-backflow ball (2.3), the O-ring holder (2.4), the ball O-ring (2.5), the sealing O-ring between bodies (2.6) and main body main bushing (2.7) on the main body-2. When the propane additive bottle (1 ) is not used, it acts as a housing for the solution (5) by directly pouring the protective solution (5) into the housing formed by combining with the main body-1 (3).

Main body-1 (3) is a standard filling gun used in LPG stations. It plays a role in the transfer of the solution in the propane additive bottle (1 ), which is opened by piercing with the end of the fixed bottle punch (4) which is mounted on the housing on the combination of the main body-2 (2) and it after being installed to each other and it prevents the escape of gas.

The operating principle of the system is as follows:

If the propane additive bottle (1 ) is used, the propane additive bottle (1 ) filled with solution is pushed and fitted into the main body-1 (3) by breaking the riveted, breakable safety cap (1 .1 ). The main body-2 (2) is fitted to the main body-1 (3) and tightened. The LPG filling gun is fitted to the adapter at the back of the apparatus and gas is supplied.

After the gas is filled, the adapter is removed and the pressure inside it is relieved and is ready for use again.

If the propane additive bottle (1 ) is used in the system, the main body-1 (3) and the main body-2 (2) are connected to each other in the same way and the protective solution (5) is emptied into the formed bottle housing and the system is started.
