Title:
BOTTLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/000663
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The subject-matter of the utility model is a bottle intended for beverages, including in particular alcoholic beverages. The bottle is characteristic in that its body is built of a back wall (4) curved outwards, merging symmetrically into side walls (5), which then in the shape of bent arches overlap the protruding front wall (6) and form thereon two symmetrical curved risers (7). The risers diverge in the upper part of the bottle body, converging towards the base (8). On the side walls (5) of the bottle, including also their parts overlapping with the front wall (6), along the whole body height there are inscriptions in big lettering. On the bottleneck (1) there is a cap (3) with a space (9} thereon intended for the beverage name and there is a corresponding space (9}, bigger in size, below the bottleneck (1) on the front wall (6). Furthermore, on the external surface of the bottom, parallel to the base edge (8) there is a stripe of linear cuts (10).

1. AT I CLAIM IS: A bottle consisting of a base, body and neck topped with a threaded riser head, characteristic in that its body is built of a back wall (4) curved outwards, merging symmetrically into side walls (5), which then in the shape of bent arches overlap the protruding front wall (6) and form thereon two symmetrical curved risers (7) divergent in the upper part of the bottle body and convergent towards the base (8), while on the side walls, including also their parts overlapping the front wall (6), along the whole body height there are inscriptions in big lettering. A bottle as claimed in claim 1, characteristic in that on the bottleneck (1) (1) there is a cap (3) with a space (9) thereon intended for the beverage name and there is a corresponding space (9), bigger in size, below the bottleneck (1) on the front wall fj5l. A bottle as claimed in claims 1 and 2, characteristic in that on the external surface of the bottom, parallel to the base edge (8) there is a stripe of linear cuts (10).
Description:
Bottle The subject-matter of the present utility model is a bottle intended for beverages, including in particular alcoholic beverages.

Common bottles for alcoholic beverages are most frequently cylindrical in shape.

The bottle body has usually the form of a cylinder with a label attached to its surface informing about the type of the alcohol contained therein or bearing a symbol of the alcohol brand.

There are also bottles the body of which is flattened-as for example in the bottle being the subject-matter of the utility model No. 15715. However, the surface available for lettering on this bottle is likewise strictly limited, therefore the lettering is not legible enough, which makes it difficult to distinguish and select the requested alcohol to be purchased.

The object of this utility model is to develop a bottle with increased functional and utility properties, increasing the legibility of the lettering on its surface and at the same time having high aesthetic and decorative values.

The chief point of the bottle being the subject-matter of the utility model consists in that its body is built of a back wall curved outwards, merging symmetrically into side walls, which then in the shape of bent arches overlap the protruding front wall and form two curved risers thereon.

The said risers are divergent in the upper part of the bottle body and convergent towards the base. On the side walls, including also their parts overlapping the front wall, along the whole body height and parallel to the riser edges there are inscriptions in big lettering.

Moreover on the bottle neck there is a cap with a space allotted for information lettering and below the bottle neck on the front wall of the bottle there is a corresponding-but bigger-space. On the external surface of the bottom of the bottle base there is a stripe of linear cuts, parallel to the base edge.

The bottle with the design thus created-in addition to its aesthetic values-has also great functional and utility values, as the big inscriptions made along its entire height are easily legible, making it easier for the customer to identify the brand of the alcohol contained in the bottle. Moreover, the shape of the bottle body, including the protruding front wall makes the bottle easy to hold, whereas the linear cuts made on the external surface of the bottom increase the stability of the bottle.

Also the cap placed on the bottleneck can be used as a spare vodka glass.

The subject-matter of the utility design has been presented in the enclosed drawings, where Fig. l is the front view of the bottle, Fig. 2-is the bottom view, Fig. 3 is the side view and Fig. 4-is the rear view.

As it has been shown in the drawings-the bottle being the subject-matter of the utility model has in its upper part a cylindrical neck Iwith thread 2 on top, the supplementary addition to the bottleneck 1 being a cap 3 to be put on thereon, which can also be used as an extra vodka glass. The bottle body is formed in such manner that its rear wall 4, having in cross-section the shape of a flat arch bent outwards is joined with the side walls 5, which overlap in form of bent arches the protruding front wall, forming thereon two symmetrical risers 7. The riser edges 7 have the shape of slender arches, divergent in the upper part of the body and convergent towards the bottle base 8.

The body thus designed has in its cross-section the shape of an oval consisting of sectional arches, convex outwards, which makes the bottle easy to hold and prevents it from slipping out of hand while being raised.

On the side walls 5 of the bottle, including also the part overlapping the front wall 6 - along the entire body height-there are inscriptions in big lettering, informing about the brand or name of the beverage contained in the bottle.

Furthermore, both on the cap 3 and on the front wall 6 of the bottle, somewhat below the neck I there are spaces 9 intended for information marking.

The bottle base 8 has the shape corresponding to the body cross-section, but with somewhat smaller circumference. On the external surface of the bottle bottom, parallel to the base edge 8 there is a stripe of linear cuts 10 to increase the bottle stability.
