Abstract:
A bottom bracket shell torque sensor for a bicycle, the sensor comprising a flexible sleeve tube (3) and an inner sleeve tube (2) passing through and sequentially mounted in a bottom bracket shell of a bicycle frame. A center shaft (8) is insertedly mounted within the inner sleeve tube, and supported and mounted by a bearing. A semi-annular protrusion (4) is provided on a lower half portion of an outer wall of the inner sleeve tube, and an outer side wall of the semi-annular protrusion tightly presses against a lower portion of an inner wall of the flexible sleeve tube. A strain gauge (5) is provided at a lower half portion of an outer wall of the flexible sleeve tube. A through-hole (7) is provided at a lower portion of the bottom bracket shell of the bicycle frame, and used to allow a signal wire (6) connected to the strain gauge to pass through. The signal wire is connected to a bicycle controller. The sensor of the present invention has simple components and a simple structure, is easy to mount and remove, and has a low cost.
