Abstract:
Provided is a bottom garment that is comfortable to wear, that has excellent conformability to various kinds of actions such as stretching, bending, and turning of the body while the garment is being worn, even though the garment can be worn and taken off easily, and that can achieve a sufficient body-shaping effect. The disclosed bottom garment is for covering a portion of the lower half of the body, and includes a belt-form stretchable member (11) and a back panel cloth (12) which are located on the waistline (L) when the bottom garment is worn. The belt-form stretchable member (11) has a width that covers an area from said waistline (L) to a section corresponding to at least a portion of the third lumbar vertebra. The back panel cloth (12) has a substantially inverted-triangular shape and has greater stretchability than the belt-form stretchable member (11). The bottom garment is characterised in that the back panel cloth (12) is arranged in a position that comes near the spine when the bottom garment is worn, and the belt-form stretchable member (11) is arranged on the waistline (L) except for the position where the back panel cloth (12) is arranged.
