The present invention relates to a bottom weight device for a horizontal blind, the device fixedly connecting the other ends of each of the front and rear mesh sheets of a horizontal mesh blind, which is integrally woven with the front and rear mesh sheets of which each one end is fixed to a winding rod rotatably provided inside a headrail of the horizontal blind, and a plurality of light-blocking slats provided at predetermined intervals such that one end thereof and the other end thereof are fixed to each one surface of the front and rear mesh sheets, so as to enable light to be blocked, thereby enabling, in a state in which the plurality of light-blocking slats are horizontal, sunlight inflow and ventilation while maintaining a tensioned state in correspondence to the operation of an operating string, automatically maintaining a straight line state with the front and rear mesh sheets due to a weight deviation as the plurality of light-blocking slats are changed into a vertical state, so as to prevent the front and rear mesh sheets from being spaced, thereby preventing a light leakage phenomenon wherein the light leaks through the gaps of the plurality of light-blocking slats, and preventing bouncing during winding so as to prevent the blind from being lopsided when wound.
