Abstract:
Provided are: a bottomed can manufacturing method with which it is possible to obtain a high-quality bottomed can in which highly precise positioning is possible while allowing an intended portion of a blank to be thinned, with which distortion and warpage are inhibited and the amount of discarded plastic is reduced; and an intermediate material for the bottomed can manufacturing. This bottomed can manufacturing method is for manufacturing a plurality of bottomed cans (10) from one metal raw sheet (20), the method including performing, in the following order: a coining step for coining at least some planned blank regions (30) to serve as blanks (33) on the raw sheet; and a molding step for performing punching to obtain blanks from the raw sheet, and drawing to mold the obtained blanks into bottomed can shapes, wherein, before the coining step, a buffer hole forming step is performed for drilling material flow buffer holes (25) between the planned blank regions of the raw sheet.
