Abstract:
Provided is a bottomed cylinder-shaped can container body made of a metal material, comprising a cylindrical side wall and a bottom formed continuously and integrally with the side wall, wherein the bottom is provided with a downwardly projecting and outwardly curved dome portion and curved support legs which are formed by projecting a plurality of peripheral portions of the dome portion which are equally angularly spaced further downwardly and outwardly, and when the radius of curvature which defines the curve of the dome portion at the bottom is R3 (mm), the bottom satisfies the following relationship to the diameter D (mm) of the side wall of the cylinder; 1.04≤R3/D≤1.67. Thus, not only can the rigidity of the can bottom be maintained even if the can bottom is made thinner, but also the freestanding ability can be reliably maintained in accordance with an increase in the internal pressure even if the internal pressure of the beverage can product filled with a beverage including carbonic acid and sealed thereafter by a lid reaches, for example, 640kPa.
Provided is another bottomed cylinder-shaped can container body which has a cylindrical side wall and a bottom formed continuously and integrally with the side wall, wherein the bottom is provided with a downwardly projecting and outwardly curved dome portion and curved support legs which are formed by projecting a plurality of peripheral portions of the dome portion which are equally angularly spaced further downwardly and outwardly, and ribs which are formed in directions intersecting the radial direction are provided on the portions of the curved support legs of the bottom that correspond to ground contacting portions. Thus, even if the can bottom is made thinner, the rigidity of the can bottom can be maintained and specifically, it is possible to restrain the leg portions from sliding inwardly, thereby remarkably enhancing the buckling strength against a vertical load.
