Abstract:
The invention addresses the problem of providing a novel box packing device that is improved to have more processing capacity for the overall device than conventional devices. A box packing device comprises: a robot by which articles being continuously transported are transferred to and aligned on a transport face moving on a conveyor; the conveyor that moves the articles aligned on the transport face to a packing position; and a packing mechanism that fills a cardboard box with the group of articles arriving at the packing position. In addition, the region in which articles on the conveyor have been aligned and the packing position are made to be as close as possible with a minimal gap therebetween such that the articles in each area are not in contact. Thus, the lag between the operation cycles is continuously adjusted by the speed-adjusted conveyor while the robot and the packing mechanism operate separately and concurrently.
