Box according to claim 5, characterised in that said carrier handles (14a, 14b) are arranged be joined together into one handle (14). |
The present invention relates to a box with a built-in carrier bag, where the box comprises a bottom surrounded by side edges and an opposite facing lid, and where a blank equipped with a carrier handle is arranged to at least partially surround the box.
From prior art, reference is made to, among others, DE 9006895 U, which shows a box with carrier handles. The carrier handles are fastened to a strip that is glued to the box and which surrounds the outside of the box and where the carrier handles extend upwards for carrying of the box.
DE9200463U similarly shows a box with carrier handles, where the carrier handles constitute a part of the side edges of the box and lie folded down in the box when the carrier handles are not in use.
US 2006/185993 A1 describes a bag or shoebox with a lid, where the carrier handles are in the form of a strap or a loop that is fastened to the side edges of the box and during use extends out from the side edges.
The idea behind the invention is a box with a built-in paper bag. The bag lies inside the box during transport and is taken out when the customer carries the product out of the shop. One can sell, for example, shoes in these boxes that are easy to transport, protect the product and do not take up more space than the present boxes. When they are sold in the shops they will reduce the environment impact of plastic carrier bags. The present invention can be used for all products that are sold or delivered in a box.
The object of the invention is to provide a simple transport solution for products that are sold or delivered in boxes, and which in various ways can display a logo or advertisement on the outside, independently of the bag being unfolded or not. In relation to the above mentioned DE 9006895 U, the problem that shall be solved can be regarded as how to provide a box with a paper bag, comprising handles with which the bag is carried, and which makes it possible to easily open the box, when the box is in a carrier position.
The above mentioned object is achieved with a box as disclosed in the independent claim 1 in that said blank is fastened to the bottom of the box, its lid and one side, and that during use the blank is unfolded so that the side of the box constitutes the bottom of the carrier bag, and the bottom of the box and the lid constitute at least a part of the sides of the carrier bag.
Alternative embodiments are given in the respective dependent claims.
The blank can comprise several folding surfaces, where the two outermost folding surfaces are folded into the box when not in use. The two outermost folding surfaces can be equipped with respective carrier handles, whereby a first of the outermost folding surfaces is folded into the lid and the second of the outermost folding surface is folded in over the top edge of the box and possibly in the bottom of the box.
A third folding surface can be fastened to the lid, a fourth folding surface can be fastened to the rear edge of the box and a fifth folding surface can be fastened to the bottom of the box. The two outermost folding surfaces can, when in use, be unfolded from the box and extend up from the box so that the respective carrier handles can be gripped by a person. Said carrier handles can be arranged to be folded into one handle. The invention shall now be described in more detail with the help of the enclosed figures, in which:
Figures 1 and 2 show perspective drawings of the invention in a state of active use.
Figure 3 shows a drawing of how the box is put together with the blank. Figure 4 shows a perspective drawing of the invention when not in use. Figure 5 shows the box unfolded.
Figure 6 shows the blank unfolded and also the materials for the handles and reinforcing materials.
As figures 1 and 2 shows the present invention comprises a box with a built-in carrier bag in the form of a blank 12 which at least partially surrounds the box 10. Figures 1 and 2 shows the invention in an active use state, i.e. that the blank 12 is unfolded to form the carrier bag. Meant by inactive use state is that the blank 12 is folded into the box 10. Figure 3 shows how the blank 12 surrounds the box 10 and where the dotted lines indicate the box while the full lines indicate the blank.
The box 10 is equipped in a traditional way with a bottom 18e, sides 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d, which surround the bottom and a lid 18. As the box is shown in the figures the side 18d constitutes a rear side or rear edge and the side 18a constitutes a front side or the front edge. The different sides of the box 10 are shown in more detail in figure 5, where the dotted line shows the folding edges of the box. A person skilled in the arts will understand how the box is folded and this will therefore not be explained in any detail. Furthermore, it shall be said that the box 10 is shown in an embodiment example as having a rectangular shape, but the box can also have other shapes, for example, trapeze-formed or in the form of a polygon, whereby the blank 12 is adjusted to the relevant shape.
Figure 6 shows in more detail an embodiment of the blank 12 before it is put together, and where the dotted lines indicate the folding edges. As the figure shows, the blank 12 comprises several folding edges 20a-20e, where the two outermost folding edges 20a, 20e are folded into the box 10 when in an inactive use state. The two outer folding surfaces of the blank 12 are fastened to the box, as shown in figure 3, for example, a third folding surface 20b is fastened to the lid 18, a fourth folding surface 20c is fastened to the rear side 18d of the box and a fifth folding surface 20d is fastened to the bottom 18e of the box. In an inactive use state a first of the outermost folding surfaces 20a can therefore be folded into the lid 18, and one of the other outermost folding surfaces 20e can be folded in over the front edge 18a of the box and possibly into the bottom 18e of the box. The folding surfaces of the blank can be fastened to the box with the help of glue or another known fastening method, and the order of the folding surfaces does not need to be as given above.
The two outermost folding surfaces 20a, 20e are preferably equipped with respective carrier handles 14a, 14b. Figure 6 shows further starting blanks for handles 14a, 14b which can be fastened to the folding surfaces 20a, 20e with the help of reinforcing strips 22 that are glued onto the outsides of the carrier handles 14a, 14b.
The side surfaces of the blank 12 that face outwards can be equipped with advertisements or a logo for the product. Preferably such that when the blank 12 is folded into the box 10, as shown in figure 4, a part of a picture is shown on the folding surface 20b that faces outwards, and when the blank 12 is unfolded into an active use state the picture continues on the folding surface 20a so that it forms a complete picture.
