Abstract:
A brace easily installable and removable on and from a mounted portion, comprising a brace body (3) mountable across the mounted parts of a frame structure. Contact mounting parts on the mounted parts are mounted at both ends of the brace body (3). With these both contact mounting parts mounted on the mounted parts, an extending and energizing mechanism (S) capable of extending and energizing the brace body (3) in the longitudinal direction and a prestress introduction mechanism (P) switchable between such a state that a compression prestress along the longitudinal direction is introduced into the brace body (3) and such a state that the introduced prestress is relieved are installed in the brace body (3). At least the state switchover operation part (22) of the prestress introduction mechanism (P) is installed so as to be exposed to the outside of the brace body (3).
